Setup Doctrine

Questions, answered plainly.

What the assessment does, how the strategies work, and what you're actually paying for.

Getting started

What is the assessment?

A short set of questions about how you trade — the instruments you use, how much time you can give the markets each week, how much drawdown you can sit through, and what you're aiming for.

It takes about five minutes. The answers decide which strategies you're matched with, so it's worth being honest rather than aspirational.

Do I need trading experience?

No. Every strategy comes with a plain-language explanation of how it works, what conditions it expects, and where it tends to struggle. The assessment also weights your experience level, so a beginner isn't handed something that assumes years of screen time.

How soon can I start?

Immediately. Access opens as soon as you register, and you can take the assessment straight away.

Can I retake the assessment later?

Free accounts take the assessment once. Members can retake it as often as they like. Most people retake it when something real changes — more capital, less free time, a different instrument, or a drawdown that told them something about their risk tolerance they didn't know before.

The strategies

What markets do they cover?

Cryptocurrency, forex, and stocks. You pick the instrument you want to trade, and the matching narrows to strategies built for it.

What does "backtested" actually mean here?

Each strategy is run against historical data across multiple market conditions — trending, ranging, and volatile — rather than the stretch that flatters it most. We publish the assumptions behind every test, including the periods where a strategy underperformed.

Backtests describe the past. They aren't a forecast, and we don't present them as one.

Do you guarantee returns?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Trading carries real risk of loss, including of your full stake. What we provide is a tested, documented approach and clear risk parameters — not a promised outcome.

Will I be told exactly what to trade?

No. We give you the strategy, its rules, and its risk parameters. You decide whether and when to act on it. Every position is your own decision.

How often do new strategies arrive?

We publish new ones as they clear testing rather than on a fixed schedule — releasing something on a deadline is how untested ideas slip through. Both plans include everything we release from here on.

Plans and payment

What's the difference between monthly and lifetime?

Nothing, in terms of what you can access. Monthly is $97 and billed each month; lifetime is $1,470 paid once. Both open the full product. See pricing for the details.

Can I cancel the monthly plan?

Any time. Access continues to the end of the month you've already paid for, and nothing is charged after that.

Can I switch from monthly to lifetime?

Yes, at any point. Email the desk and we'll credit what you've recently paid toward the one-time price.

Is my purchase refundable?

Access starts immediately, and once you've opened the strategies the purchase is non-refundable. If something goes wrong on our end, email support@setupdoctrine.com and we'll sort it out.

Account and support

When can I reach support?

Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm CET. Messages sent outside those hours are answered the next working day.

Do you need access to my brokerage account?

No, and we don't ask for it. We never hold your funds, place trades for you, or connect to your broker. You keep full control of your own capital.

Can I share my account?

Accounts are for one person. Shared logins get suspended — mostly because it makes support impossible when we can't tell who we're helping.

Still unsure?

Ask the desk directly. We'd rather answer a question than have you buy the wrong thing.
